Public Space
The public space of entries, lobbies, waiting areas, corridors and stairs are central to the image, character and experience of a building. At entries the exterior transitions into the interior in materials finishes and details.
Stairs, ramps, and elevators are continuations of public space and scale, materials and details are of equal importance. Corridors large and small are the interface between public space and individual program spaces.
Often unprogrammed, additive to the overall area and requiring more durable finishes, these spaces are central to the design of our buildings for their contribution to the quality of the building and its experience.
